Dreaming of the Food'ture

Brief.
Create an introductory workshop, for danish highschool students, to Design Thinking.

Execution.
Designing is about envisioning an alternative future to overcome society’s challenges. To make it relatable and accessible to our target group, we chose to work with food as a main medium. The workshop is structured as a full meal, dissecting the design process in three parts: 1- STARTER; 2- MAIN; 3- DESSERT.

The visual identity consists of a library of combinable abstract shapes, inspired by food elements, complemented by stickers to help guide the workshop process. The main workshop material is a printable A3 manual used as exercise sheet for students to fill out and expand with tangible objects. The entire event being held online, through Designskolen Kolding’s Instagram account, the visual identity unfolds through motion design and Instagram Stories, to ease the participation of class groups all over Denmark.
